Police say a woman who was reported kidnapped from her boyfriend's San Francisco Bay area home and held for ransom has contacted her father to say she's in the Southern California city of Huntington Beach.

Huntington Beach Officer Jennifer Marlatt said Wednesday the police haven't confirmed she is there and are sending officers to the Huntington Beach homes of both Denise Huskins' mother and father.

Marlatt says Huskins either called her father or left him a voicemail, but police haven't made contact with her.

Huskins' boyfriend told police she was abducted Monday from his Mare Island home in Vallejo.

Thirty-year-old Aaron Quinn called police at about 2 p.m. Monday to report she was forcefully taken in the middle of the night and the intruders demanded ransom.
