NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Police say a man arrested after a weekend traffic chase is being held in a gruesome double slaying involving dismembered remains found at his Nevada home, where his 53-year-old mother and 33-year-old sister were reported missing last week.
Thirty-year-old Darius Davon Sorrells is jailed pending a court appearance on a murder charge.
North Las Vegas authorities still haven't identified the dead, pending autopsies on Tuesday. Police Sgt. Chrissie Coon says at least one body was partially dismembered.
Police collected tools in the house, and Coon says they aren't sure which ones were used.
Sorrells wasn't at the house when police found a bloody crime scene there early Monday, and then spent more than 14 hours collecting evidence.
Coon says Clark County coroner's investigators went to the house more than once to retrieve human remains.
