A manhunt extends from North Carolina to New York for a man accused of killing the daughter of a North Carolina police chief.
Investigators offered no new developments early Monday in the search for 34-year-old Michael Neal Harvey. The former Niagara Falls, N.Y., resident was convicted of rape in that state and his criminal record includes felony breaking-and-entering in North Carolina.
Harvey is named in an arrest warrant issued after Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they found the body of 23-year-old Valerie Hamilton in a Charlotte self-storage unit. She was the daughter of Concord Police Chief Merl Hamilton.

The chief said Sunday afternoon that he, his wife and their other daughter are comforted by an outpouring of support.
