Police: Craigslist encounter leads to extortion arrest
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Authorities say they have arrested a woman who met a man on Craigslist and tried to extort money from him after having sex with him and then claiming to be a minor.
The Palm Beach Post (http://pbpo.st/2d3t2d0 ) reports Delray Beach police arrested Vanessa Hall on Wednesday on extortion-related charges for demanding money from the man after they'd had sex. Police say Hall — whose actual age is 28 — told the man that she was only 17 and then threatened to turn him in to police unless he took her shopping.
The victim spent $7,000 on Hall, but later contacted police after she demanded $3,500 for a down payment on a car.
