The search is ongoing for the missing 2-year-old daughter of a San Francisco woman found slain last week.

Police said Arianna Fitts is considered at risk because she's so young and because her 32-year-old mother Nicole Fitts was a homicide victim.

Police released photos about the toddler on Saturday, a day after her mother was found slain.

She was last seen April 1.

Police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan declined to disclose other details about the killing or other circumstances of the case, citing the sensitive nature of the investigation.

Friends and relatives say they are waiting for news about the girl and hoping for her safe return as they mourn her mother's death.

Contessa Fitts told the San Francisco Chronicle that her sister, Nicole, was "a really good person."
