Police arrest teen who allegedly attacked elderly man with cane in New York City

A New York City teen was arrested Saturday after he was seen beating an elderly man with a cane in an unprovoked attack, police said.
Saul Nunez, 19, of the Bronx, was charged with two counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to WABC-TV.
The NYPD said the attack occurred at around 6 p.m. Friday. Surveillance footage released by police showed Nunez approaching Juan Llorens, 90, kicking his and striking him on the side of his head with a cane.

Llorens was left with cuts on his ear and head, police said. WABC-TV reported Good Samaritans intervened in the alleged assault and stopped it.
Llorens told PIX 11 he was out getting food and he was attacked. He thanked the people who stepped in to help him and said that he forgave his alleged attacker.
