MEDINA, Ohio – An Ohio man charged with corpse abuse after a cable technician found his daughter's decomposed body in a crib has been indicted on additional charges.
Court records show a grand jury last week indicted 35-year-old Eric Warfel on three counts of child endangering and one count of cocaine possession. Warfel was indicted earlier on gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence charges after 21-month-old Ember Warfel's body was discovered in July in his apartment in Medina, in northeast Ohio.
A message seeking comment was left at Warfel's attorney's office Monday.
A medical examiner hasn't said how the child died.
Warfel pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to the earlier charges.
A 5-month-old daughter of Warfel's died in 2013. A medical examiner ruled that as "sudden unexplained infant death."
