At least four people were injured Tuesday after a bus transporting Coast Guard recruits ripped off more than 200 feet of guardrail during a crash on an expressway in New Jersey, according to reports. 

The crash unfolded along the Atlantic City Expressway, Fox 29 reported. At least four people suffered minor injuries.

Photos taken of the crash showed a long stretch of broken guardrail.

It's not clear yet if recruits were among the injured. 

The bus was on its way to Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, WPVI added.

The incident occurred near the border of Gloucester Township and Washington Township.

The cause was unclear, Fox 29 reported.
