Authorities say a 15-year-old New Jersey student copied a scene from the movie “Wedding Crashers” and spiked a classmate’s Gatorade with eye drops, causing the victim loss of vision, hallucinations and three days in a hospital, NJ.com reported.
“He felt bullied and harassed by the other kid,” Jerome Neidhardt, the assistant prosecutor, said according to the paper. “He said he got the idea from a movie. His intent was to give the other kid diarrhea.”
Authorities did not release the 15-year-old's s name because of his age but said the incident took place last month at Vernon High School and old prescription eye drops were used.

The student, reportedly serving 60 days in the Morris County Juvenile Detention Center, had said the classmate bullied him into putting the eye drops into the drink, but an in-school investigation did not support the claim, NJ.com reported.
He pleaded guilty to third-degree aggravated assault and fourth-degree endangering. He was sentenced to 18 months probation and forced to pay restitution to the victim.
