New Hampshire authorities are investigating a shooting at a Dover hospital Tuesday morning  that left two people dead in an apparent murder-suicide, MyFoxBoston.com reported.

According to sources, someone walked into the critical care unit at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, killed a patient, and then killed himself. The victim's identity was not immediately revealed.

A source for New Hampshire One said that the shooter was a man, who entered hospital at 6 a.m. and shot his wife, who was ill, before killing himself.

The Foster's Daily Democrat reported that a man took to his Facebook account prior to the shooting and posted: "I want to start off by saying this is going to be officially ruled a murder/suicide when in all actuality it is a double suicide." The report said the post went up at about 6 a.m.

Police did not confirm that account was the gunman's, but a woman who identified herself on the social media site as a relative confirmed that her brother and sister-in-law had died.

The man reportedly went on the post instructions on future finances and pet care.

The hospital was open later that morning and the New Hampshire attorney general promised an investigation.
