More than 40 people in three states have been arrested as part of an investigation into a suspected methamphetamine trafficking operation.

Federal arrest warrants have been served on people in Wyoming, Colorado and Utah as of Thursday.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's office in Cheyenne, John Powell, says nine pounds of meth have been seized along with several firearms and more than $100,000 in cash.

Details of the investigation aren't know because documents will remain sealed until all arrest warrants are served.

Several city blocks were blocked Thursday in Casper as authorities arrested 33-year-old Mecale Roth. She denied knowing there were items used to make meth in her home. Her two children were handed over to social workers.
