Officials at Yosemite National Park say a 23-year-old woman who was reported missing when she failed to show up for her first day of work at a park hotel over the weekend has been found.
A park spokesman says search crews located Jessica Rose Garcia around 1 p.m. Tuesday as she was hiking off-trail in a rugged area in the southern portion of the park.
Spokesman Scott Gediman says Garcia appeared to be OK, but was being taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation.

After being checked at the hospital, Gediman says Garcia would be interviewed by park rangers to determine why she failed to report to work.
Park officials say a search was mounted for Garcia after she failed to show up for work at the Wawona Hotel and rangers checked her residence on Sunday. Initially, park officials had said rangers checked her residence on Saturday.
