Minneapolis-St. Paul airport police reportedly shoot suspicious person

A Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport police officer reportedly shot a suspicious person in the Hertz rental car area Saturday night.

Chris Hogan, a police spokesman, told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that airport police received a call about two suspicious people in the rental car area on the Level 2 parking ramp at Terminal 1.

When police approached the individuals, they were uncooperative. A vehicle then was driven intentionally at the officers, who responded with gunfire, KARE 11 reports.

An adult male driver was shot and taken to an area hospital, while another officer suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not released further details.
