Michigan K9 honored for rescuing toddler with autism

A Mason County, Michigan Sheriff K9, Cash, is getting some much needed recognition after rescuing a toddler with autism on Thursday.

The 4-year-old boy was lost in the woods in Victory Township. Mason County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the child’s family home around 4:00p.m.

According to the family, the boy walked away from home, and thanks to neighbors spotting him walking by their house, deputies were able to narrow down a location for him.

Cash the K9 tracked and found the boy about 3/4 of a mile into the woods.
