A man has been found guilty of stabbing five people to death in a Denver bar three years ago and now could face the death penalty.

Jurors convicted Dexter Lewis on Monday after deliberating for 10 hours in a case that has been overshadowed by the trial of Colorado theater shooter James Holmes.

The Denver Post (http://dpo.st/1MYiI54 ) reports that Lewis and his relatives showed no emotion but the families of the victims began crying as the verdict was read.

Prosecutors alleged that Lewis went to the bar with three other men and stabbed the bar's owner and four others after a botched robbery in October 2012.

Two of the others pleaded guilty under deals with prosecutors. The other man, Demarea Harris, was a confidential federal informant and wasn't charged.
