{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}At least nine people were arrested in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Wednesday as protests continued for the eighth straight night to voice their frustrations after a judge ruled earlier in the day that the body camera footage showing deputies shooting and killing Andrew Brown Jr. will not be released publicly for at least another 30 days.

"Say his name! Andrew Brown! Hands up! Don’t shoot!" the protesters chanted, according to the News & Observer.
Elizabeth City Police Chief Eddie Buffaloe said Thursday that nine people were arrested Wednesday night as the result of unlawful demonstrations. A curfew went into effect at 8 p.m. but people remained in the streets for several hours.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}At 10:35 p.m., police said on Twitter that arrests would begin, and a final dispersal order was given at 10:45 p.m., when approximately 25 people remained in an intersection. The crowd had dispersed by 11:30 p.m. and the road was reopened to vehicular traffic. ABC 11 reported said that a crowd of about 100 demonstrators had gathered earlier in the day.
