A prosecutor says the man convicted of killing an Arkansas television anchorwoman won't be tried for a second time on a rape charge.
Lee County prosecutor Fletcher Long said Thursday that the victim, a Marianna school teacher, told him she doesn't want to go through another trial. A judge declared a mistrial Wednesday after jurors said they couldn't agree on a verdict in the rape case against Curtis Lavelle Vance.
Vance was charged with rape after he was already a suspect in the separate case, the death of Little Rock morning show host Anne Pressly. A hair found in Pressly's bedding matched DNA from the rape case. Investigators said both samples matched Vance's DNA.

Defense lawyer Bill James attacked the DNA evidence, and Vance told jurors he was innocent.
