A jury has acquitted a Baltimore pastor of charges stemming from a protest during a hearing for six officers charged in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray.
An attorney for the Rev. Westley West tells The Baltimore Sun (http://bsun.md/1RnYyBI ) that jurors found West not guilty Wednesday of disturbance of the peace and failure to obey law enforcement. Defense attorney Donald Wright says prosecutors dropped charges before West's trial of attempting to incite a riot, malicious destruction of property, disorderly conduct and false imprisonment.
West was arrested at his church a week after the brief September protest. Police said he blocked traffic during the event.
