Humongous alligator spotted cruising around Florida golf course

The official reptile of the University of Florida and the Sunshine State apparently has a golf card, too.
Though not an uncommon sight at state courses and PGA Tour events there, the gator recorded recenty by Sarasota resident Charles Helms appears unusually large.
Helms and his friend were golfing at the Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto when the estimated 14- to 15-foot long beast appeared, causing Helms to crack "I think that's two guys in an alligator suit." Check out the reptile walking alongside a sand trap for size:

"I didn't know if we were being punked or something," Charles Helms told ABC Action News. "It was just laying down, resting, when it got up and started moving towards the big lake."
Great footage there but maybe next time they should retreat, especially if they have plans to play on the pro tour.
