Heroin, weapons found under toddler's mattress

Police in New Jersey say they found heroin and weapons under a mattress where a toddler slept with her mother.

Authorities in Middletown have charged Jenna Connett and her husband, William, with possession of heroin and possession with intent to distribute. The 35-year-olds are held in the Monmouth County jail on $315,000 bail each.

Detective Lt. Steve Dollinger tells the Asbury Park Press they were selling about $10,000 worth of heroin a week from their home in the Port Monmouth section of the township.

Dollinger says a search of the house recovered 117 bags of heroin, syringes and Xanax pills.

The 2-year-old was turned over to a grandmother.
