A Florida student was sent home from school Tuesday after a principal said his hair was too extreme.
Asher Stonesifer, 17, styles his hair in a 16-inch tall Mohawk, a style that the school says causes a disturbance, MyFoxOrlando.com reports.
The high school senior said he is attempting to set a new world record for the tallest "Liberty Spike Mohawk," which is currently 3.6 feet.

Stonesifer was allowed back to school Wednesday after a compromise was made. He will wear his hair down, rather than either in a Mohawk or a spiked style he sometimes wears. The spikes, he tells MyFoxOrlando.com, can sometimes take up to two hours to style.
