A disgruntled employee of a Florida manufacturing business allegedly stabbed five people with a knife Wednesday morning, police said.
Antwann Brown, 41, was identified as an employee of Dyke Industries, a company that provides materials for residential and commercial buildings. Investigators in Tallahassee say he "stabbed a total of five employees with a folding knife" around 8:30 a.m.
Of those injured, one victim was in serious condition, while two people were in fair condition and two others were said to be in good condition.

Police responded to the scene on the city's northwest side and immediately administered aid. Investigators initially said upon arrival, "multiple stabbing victims" were discovered.

A motive for the incident was not immediately clear, and Interim Tallahassee Police Department Chief Steve Outlaw told reporters Wednesday the attack appeared "spontaneous," according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

Outlaw also said "you can't help but wonder" whether the 18th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack that left nearly 3,000 people dead contributed to the attack.
Brown clocked into work for a normal shift Wednesday morning, the interim police chief said. Brown allegedly had an "incident" with coworkers and was asked to clock out. When the attack broke out, other employees said they fended Brown off with sticks — whatever they could grab — and pinned him down, but he escaped. He was arrested outside the facility, police said.
While police said five employees were stabbed, one woman told a reporter that her husband was at Dyke Industries for a job interview when he was attacked.

Marquitta Campbell told the Democrat she was on the phone with her husband, Bobby Riggins Jr., when he suddenly told her: ‘Baby, I’ve been stabbed five times. I’ve been stabbed.’”
Campbell said her husband called her later to tell her he was suffering from internal bleeding and was heading to surgery.

Another woman, Ellen Mospens, said her husband wasn't injured, but that he had texted her saying there had been a "massive stabbing" at the business.
