Authorities say a central Florida man who stopped breathing while in police custody has died.
Port Orange police Lt. Scott Brozio says 47-year-old Randy Wilson died Sunday at Halifax Health Medical Center. He was taken into custody last Tuesday after being stopped on suspicion of driving under the influence. He stopped breathing while being held in a holding cell and was taken to the hospital where he had been in critical condition.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports Wilson failed field sobriety tests and was taken to police headquarters for a breathalyzer test. His blood alcohol level was low and he was asked to give a urine sample, which he refused.

Police say Wilson fell asleep in the holding cell. When officers noticed he wasn't breathing they started CPR.
