WARWICK, R.I. – The parents of a 4-year-old Rhode Island girl with cerebral palsy say the family woke up on Christmas morning and found a new motorized scooter on their doorstep.
Courtney Coates tells WPRI-TV (http://bit.ly/1Iyz1W7 ) they had searched unsuccessfully for years for a battery-powered chair that fit the needs of their daughter, Deonna. On Christmas morning, the Warwick family found an electric scooter outside their front door with a bow and an unsigned card that read: "To a sweet girl who deserves a sweet ride."
Deonna's parents say they hope the gift giver comes forward so they can express their thanks.
