DEVELOPING: Detroit police precincts were put on high alert Wednesday after a police officer opened an envelope at a stationhouse and some suspicious powder poured out, MyFoxDetroit.com reported.
Hazmat teams have responded to the Grand River station and are unable verify the substance. Those who were exposed to the powder are being kept inside the station for decontamination before they’re taken to a hospital for evaluation, the station reported.
Police have been told not to open any more mail in the city and the precinct has been closed.
