A Delaware teenager who told police he was afraid of getting into trouble for skipping school has pleaded guilty to killing his father with a crossbow.
Seth Ramsey, now 19, pleaded guilty Thursday to manslaughter and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He had been charged as an adult with first-degree murder. The judge set his sentencing for Nov. 30
Court records say Ramsey told officers he killed his father, 41-year-old Todd Ramsey, in December 2014 because he feared his dad would be angry because he skipped school.

Troopers checked the home after the father missed work, and found him dead in a bedroom from a single wound to the abdomen.
