INDIANAPOLIS – In a July 18 story about a ruling in a legal dispute between Indiana and IBM Corp., The Associated Press, relying on information provided by an attorney representing the state, Peter Rusthoven, erroneously reported that an IBM chief executive characterized the company's performance on a project to overhaul the state's welfare system as an "abomination." IBM says a senior executive did not characterize the company's performance with that word, and a judge who heard the case agreed.
