A Connecticut community is mourning the sudden death of a high school freshman who collapsed Friday while running on a hotel treadmill, MyFoxBoston reports.
Authorities say Victor "Andy" Pena died Friday while working out on a treadmill at a Boston hotel. He was in Massachusetts with his family to attend a younger brother's swim meet.
The cause of death remains under investigation by the Massachusetts Medical Examiner's Office, according to the station.
Grief counselors were made available both at Darien High School and Middlesex Middle School, where Pena's brother is a seventh-grade student.
School officials say Pena was on the high school track team and was "a valued student and a valuable member of the school community."
