Authorities are searching for a missing Colorado woman who disappeared on a trip to Los Angeles.

Jennifer Michelle Lorber, 30, checked into a Malibu motel before her rental car was discovered abandoned Sunday near the Pacific Coast Highway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

Her family had not heard from the jewelry designer since 11 p.m. Thursday, the same day she arrived from Denver, according to officials.

“Lorber suffers from depression and her family is concerned for her wellbeing,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.

Sky LaBrot, a friend, took to social media to spread the word of her disappearance, saying Lorber made plans to stay with her before she vanished.

“Jenny is the best of the best of the best and we love her like family,” LaBrot wrote on Facebook. “Please keep your eyes peeled for this wonderful woman.”
