Nine Utah high school cheerleaders were suspended after allegedly participating in a hazing ritual where a girl with a peanut allergy was covered in peanut butter.
Fox 13 reports 14 incoming members of the Ogden High School cheer squad were reportedly told they were invited to a party to celebrate earning a spot on the team. Instead, the girls were blindfolded and taken to a nearby park.
Ogden School District spokeswoman Donna Corby told The Associated Press the girls were told to do push-ups and sit-ups while the senior girls pelted them with ketchup, mustard, peanut butter and pickle juice. They then were forced to strip to their underwear to get sprayed off.
