The Boston Public Library is unveiling a monthlong marathon memorial exhibit in commemoration of the anniversary of the twin bombings.
The artifacts are all from the original makeshift memorial that piled up in Copley Square during the days after the attack last April 15 that killed three people and injured more than 260.
The exhibit called "Dear Boston: Messages from the Marathon Memorial," will include a selection of the thousands of items left in downtown Boston, including 150 pairs of running shoes, heartfelt messages of support and hope, running bib numbers and several "Boston Strong" memorabilia.
