U.S. Border Patrol agents rescued a pair of undocumented immigrants who had been bitten by a rattlesnake, Customs and Border Protection said Tuesday.
The two undocumented immigrants are from Guatemala and suffered the bites on a ranch near Kingsville, Texas, MySanAntonio.com reports.
Agents took the two men to a Kingsville hospital after finding them early Tuesday morning.
MySanAntonio.com reports that in the last year, agents in the Rio Grande Valley area have rescued almost 200 people, adding that during the summer months, agents often make more rescues since there is a greater risk for people to suffer from heat exhaustion.
