JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Officials say eight people have been injured, including a 14-year-old girl, when an SUV plowed into a Dunkin' Donuts store in Jersey City.
Authorities say the accident happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday.
The Jersey Journal reports (http://bit.ly/NfgxZg ) that Jersey City Medical Center spokesman Mark Rabson says six people are at the hospital and two have been treated at the scene.
Fire Director Armando Roman says the teenage girl was in the shop with her mother and sister when the accident occurred and that she suffered head trauma and two broken legs.
Rabson says the girl has undergone surgery. Four others are in stable condition after being treated for trauma.
A police spokesman says the SUV driver has been injured but that the severity of his injuries isn't known.
