Two Las Vegas police officers are facing criminal charges for disobeying orders by refusing to drop a chase that ended in a crash and the death of a suspected drunken driver.
The Clark County district attorney's office filed criminal complaints Wednesday against Officers Andrew Ubbens and Aron Carpenter for the May 19 crash that killed 27-year-old Ivan Carrillo.
Officials say both officers ignored repeated direct orders from a sergeant to call off their pursuit before Carpenter's patrol car collided with Carrillo's vehicle in North Las Vegas.
