Bon Voyage announces awards for best cruise lines

Bon Voyage, a magazine published by Cruiseline.com, just announced their first annual picks for the top cruise lines around the world.

Whether you’re looking for a family getaway, gourmet food or the ultimate oceanic luxury, these winners have something for every traveler on the high seas.

The top lines were selected by a panel of travel writers and editors who broke their selections down into over 30 categories including Best Mainstream Line, Best Value, and Best Nightlife.

Family favorite Disney scored top prize in Best Mainstream Line, Best for Multigenerational Families and Best Onboard Entertainment.

Cruising with an older crowd? Celebrity Cruises took home the top spot for Best Nightlife, with Carnival and Norwegian rounding out the top three.

If you’re looking for luxury, book a trip on Silversea Cruises. With staterooms that feature Pratesi sheets, walk-in closets and an on-call concierge service, this smaller line walked away with the award for Best Luxury Cabin.

But if you’re on a budget, take a trip with Holland America Line which scored highest in the Best Value category.
