Russian Spy Chapman Waves Goodbye to Astronauts

BAIKONUR, Kazakhstan – Red-haired Russian spy Anna Chapman has appeared in southern Kazakhstan to wave goodbye to a U.S.-Russian crew that will go into orbit early Friday.

Clad in a scarlet coat, Chapman was seen at a farewell ceremony for U.S. astronaut Scott Kelly and two Russian cosmonauts in Baikonur, a Russia-leased cosmodrome in southern Kazakhstan.

The crew will blast off for the International Space Station for a five-month mission.

Chapman told an Associated Press reporter that she has "just arrived."

Accompanied by a burly man who blocked her from reporters, Chapman hastily walked to a guarded guest house near the launch pad.

Chapman was one of 10 Russian spies deported from the U.S. in July. Her sultry photos gleaned from social-networking sites made her a tabloid sensation.
