Amazon’s 2016 Prime Day is over half completed and shoppers have spared no detail when it comes to sharing their feelings about it. The popular online shopping event, which offers its Prime members deals and discounts on a wide variety of items, from devices to dog treats, kicked off this year with a bang as users snapped up items and then found they were unable to add them to their carts.
Using the hashtag #PrimeDayFail, users vented their utter frustration:
#PrimeDay is awesome until you actually try to buy something.... #PrimeDayFail pic.twitter.com/2SJ1FHtOLS

Amazon acknowledged that some customers were experiencing difficulties. "Some customers are reporting difficulty with checkout," it tweeted, early on Tuesday. "We're working to resolve this issue quickly."
However, customers continued to vent their frustration hours later.
The company's Prime Day 2015 was similarly plagued by customer complaints under the hashtag #PrimeDayFail. Many complaints last year centered on discounted items that nobody wanted, while desired items sold out instantly.
