Worker Dies in Poland Crane Accident
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Two workers died Tuesday in a crane accident at the construction site of Poland's national football stadium, a venue being built in Warsaw for the 2012 European Championship, officials said.
An elevator on the crane crashed to the ground from a height of about 50 feet, fire department spokesman Pawel Fratczak said. He said one man was killed immediately.
The other man died later in a hospital, Warsaw police spokesman Tomasz Oleszczuk said. Both men were inside the elevator when it crashed. The cause of the accident was under investigation.
