LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – Leavenworth police are investigating a report that several women mugged a woman and then forcibly removed a gold and diamond mouthpiece that had been cemented to her teeth.
Maj. Robert Smith, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department, said the incident was reported Friday after the 37-year-old woman went to a hospital.
The woman told police about five women attacked after she left a bar. The woman said the attackers hit her and forced her into a car.
The suspects reportedly then began working to remove the victim's 24-karat gold and diamond mouthpiece. Smith said the attack broke some of the woman's teeth when the gold piece was removed.
