What Does Your Astrology Sign Say About Your Sex Life?

First of all, everyone has all of the signs in them. And each sign influences a different area of our lives.

Mars and Venus are generally considered the "relationship and sex" planets. If your Mars and Venus are in different signs than your Sun sign — which they often are — combining their signs with your Sun sign will give you a fuller picture of your sexual and relationship needs.

All the "personal planets and points" — the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and your Rising sign combined — determine what you are like in relationships. You can find those by looking at your astrology chart or seeing an astrologer.

Aries is the sign of the infant. They like to be first at everything, so they rush in, and can be hurt easily. And although they hate rejection, they bounce back pretty quickly. Aries rules over the head, so the impulsiveness comes directly out of the ideas that pop from their brains and must be followed. Expect something fast and furious that can burn out just as quickly. Aries can be self-involved, so it’s harder for them to keep their focus on the other person.

Taurus is the bull: Slow and steady. These are patient people who are very sensual and love comfort and nice surroundings. They wait for things to play out. In life and in bed, they can do the same thing over and over without getting bored. They are loyal, but usually because of a stubborn laziness to move on — even if things are not good.

Gemini is an intellectual sign. They need their minds to be stimulated. They also have a knack for doing two things at once, so they can easily be involved with more than one person in order to keep them sufficiently satisfied. They are very creative sexually, always looking for something to spice things up and stimulate their brains.

Cancer, the protective crab, is very sensitive. They need a feeling of security and permanency in relationships. They love to feed you and take care of you. They can be clingy in bed and very nurturing — even the men.

Leo is the sign of the ego and the child. They like to perform and put on a show, and they love attention. They expect to be applauded for their performance (in bed), even if it's a repeat one. They have a lot pride, and will not stay in a relationship if their egos aren’t being fed.

Virgos tend to be thought of as very picky, but really they’re another intellectual sign. They are ruled by Mercury, the communication planet, so they like good conversation. Virgos are an extremely sexual sign — the Vestal virgins actually had their pick of lovers. So this sign really has the choice of whom they want to be with, and as an earth sign, they like to be in secure relationships as well.

Libra is the sign of the scales. They have the hardest time making decisions about relationships because they keep weighing the balance back and forth, and there’s never a scale that hits a perfect balance. They are the relationship sign however, because of their charm and a real need to bounce things off of another person. As for sex, they like to go for grace and not vulgarity.

Scorpio is the sex sign. They are passionate and extremists in everything they do. They are happiest when they are in a fulfilling sexual relationship. Scorpios can be possessive and sometimes dominating, but they are also a water sign, which means they are very sensitive and emotional. They are selective about whom they get involved with, and have very high standards in everything.

Sagittarius is the archer. This sign loves freedom and experiencing as many different things as they can. The men tend to stay bachelors longer or indefinitely. As for sex, they like no limits, and can go to excess with their number of partners and types of experiences.

Capricorn is the sign of the sea goat. Both sensitive and serious, they are happiest in committed relationships. They are serious in their outer lives, but warm in relationships. Sexually, Capricorns are persistent and don’t take no for an answer, as they are the sign of achievement. Nothing gets in their way.

Aquarius is the innovator of the zodiac. Aquarians are intellectuals and need mental stimulus —all the way to the point of the unusual — to be turned on. A bit on the "scientific" side, I knew one who took a speculum to his partner to go exploring. Expect the unexpected.

Pisces encompasses all the signs of the zodiac. It’s a water sign, so they have a high level of sensitivity and maturity about relationships. They like security, but also tend to go with the flow of the current — so they don’t always stay settled in one place for too long. The most intuitive of the signs, Pisces' trust their intuition about people. In sexual affairs, they can sense what their next move should be.
