EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett City Council voted to extend its lewd conduct law to cover places with drive-up windows, such as espresso stands.
The ordinance will take effect in about three weeks after the city attorney and police figure out how to enforce it.
A number of people at the Wednesday night council meeting were upset the ordinance does not address attire.
The owner of a business near the Grab-N-Go espresso stand, where five baristas have been charged with prostitution, showed a video of women dancing around in underwear. Business owner Rhonda Bremond says the crude behavior must stop.
