LONDON – Police say two climbers swept away by an avalanche in Scotland have died.
Police say the bodies of the two men were recovered by a rescue team from Glencoe, about 120 miles northwest of Edinburgh. The narrow and steep-sided valley, one of the Highlands' most famous glens, is popular with hillwalkers and climbers.
Earlier Wednesday a man was injured when he fell several hundred feet from an ice climb in a separate avalanche on Ben Nevis, near Fort William.
