Tony Blair Is Right on Iraq

Tony Blair for president... for our president!
Thank God he had the cojones, as they say in Texas, to stand up for President Bush and to stand by his American cousins.
As you may have heard, Blair is under tremendous pressure to bail on Bush. His own electorate is squawking about Brit solidarity with the Americans on an Iraq attack, but he said it was not just loyalty to America that has brought him to his position, but the fact that getting Saddam Hussein out of the world's hair is the right thing to do.

I don't know about you, but isn't that refreshing?
Here's what Blair said:
"The Americans, in raising this issue, are not wrong. They are right. The reason our place is beside them is not because of some misplaced allegiance or blind loyalty. It's because it's the right thing to do."

Hello Brent Scowcroft and James Baker? Do you still have the number for 10 Downing Street in your Rolodex?
Blair correctly concludes that terror attacks from the likes of Saddam and Usama bin Laden could occur in London or Paris or Berlin, and that the Europeans have to understand that this threat is not against America alone.
Frankly... he may be wrong about that last point, because I think the bad guys couldn't resist bombing America even if they had a shot at London or Paris or Berlin... but hey. Who's quibbling?

Blair sides with Bush and America, and he promises his own dossier of proof against Saddam that the world is demanding.
Bully for Blair. Let's hope the world listens.
That's My Word.
