Five leading French newspapers failed the fair and balanced (search) test in their reporting of the war in Iraq. That was the finding of one of their own.

The editor of "La Croix Daily" did a study that found French reporters failed to mention that Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator – but played up the level of anti-American feeling in the country.

The editor was then fired because his report allegedly tarnished his paper's image.

What's in a Name?

If you're convinced that political correctness always wins in America -- take heed.

New York State judge David Hurd ruled that a college professor – who called one of his female students "Monica" and who offered her a cigar if she would "shut up" in class – ruled that behavior does not amount to sexual harassment (search). However, he made no ruling on boorishness.

The student has decided to appeal.
