Suing Saudi Arabia for Sept. 11

Cantor Fitzgerald (search), which lost 658 employees in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, has just filed a $7 billion lawsuit against the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The suit alleges Saudi Arabia "conspired, aided and/or abetted in the commission of the terrorist acts... by lending financial and material support, directly or indirectly, to the international terrorist organization Al Qaeda and its members."
(This is separate from a $300 billion lawsuit filed against the Saudis last year by a group of insurers.)

By the way, kudos to John Gonsalves, the builder who started Homes for Our Troops. We loved having him on “DaySide” Wednesday, and we wish him well as he raises money and starts to build homes for disabled troops returning from Iraq.
