FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. – The final report on the murder-suicide committed by wrestler Chris Benoit was to be released Tuesday afternoon by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, FOX 5 Atlanta has learned.
The investigation document, which is more than 400 pages long, contains new details about the case that have not been disclosed.
Benoit killed his wife, Nancy, and 7-year-old son, Daniel, by strangling them before taking his own life in June 2007, according to police.
Detectives said there was no evidence to suggest that anyone else was involved in the murders.
Benoit had been taking an excessive number of steroids, which authorities believe could have led to his killing spree.
Investigators said Tuesday that the case was officially closed.
