ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A gunman shot two employees and one customer inside a Radio Shack store at a St. Petersburg (search) mall Thursday, then turned the weapon on himself, police said.
At least one person was killed, according to reports posted on the Web sites of The Tampa Tribune and St. Petersburg Times. A message left by The Associated Press for a St. Petersburg police spokesman at the scene was not immediately returned.
The spokesman, George Katjsa, told television station Bay News 9 that police are unsure of the gunman's motive.
The shootings occurred inside a Radio Shack store in the Gateway Mall (search). Conditions of the people reportedly shot were not known.
The alleged gunman was a former Radio Shack employee, The Tribune reported. A call placed to the store rang unanswered early Thursday evening.
