Hard on the heels of his vice presidential pick's star turn on "Saturday Night Live," GOP presidential wannabe John McCain is set to appear on the late night program two days before voters go to the polls, reports Us Magazine.

McCain last appeared on the program in May where he joked: "I ask you: what should we be looking for in our next president? Certainly, someone who is very, very, very old."
The television-friendly candidate also hosted the show in 2002.
Well-known Democrat Ben Affleck is set to host.
