Bennifer 2 might be making it official.

Hollywood hunk Ben Affleck (search) proposed to his girlfriend, "Alias" star Jennifer Garner (search), after her 33rd birthday party Saturday at her Brentwood, Calif., home, Star magazine reported.

Affleck, 32, bought Garner a $500,000, 4.5-carat Harry Winston engagement ring — as compared to the 6.1-carat pink diamond ring from Winston he got for his former fiancée Jennifer Lopez, the magazine reported.

Affleck and Garner first worked together on the 2003 movie "Daredevil." According to imdb.com, Garner became tangled in the wires that were helping her do a flip in a stunt for the movie, and she nearly crashed into a wall that she was supposed to flip off.

Affleck, in his Daredevil costume, rushed up to her, grabbed her, and pulled her away from the wall before the accident could happen. Garner later commented: "It was like he was Superman," according to imdb.

Garner and Affleck stoked rumors that they were dating in October 2004, when they were spotted cuddling at Fenway Park at Game 1 of the World Series.

But their relationship has yet to stir the media frenzy that was Bennifer 1. Affleck and Lopez flaunted their romance for the press, even appearing together in one of her videos, and their relationship and their careers seemed to suffer as a result.

Both Affleck and Lopez, who split in January 2004, have been much quieter about their current relationships.

In June 2004, Lopez married salsa singer Marc Anthony, but she wouldn't confirm the nuptials had taken place until months had gone by.

Garner was previously married to actor Scott Foley (search), whom she met on the set of "Felicity." She subsequently dated her "Alias" co-star Michael Vartan (search).

Affleck also famously dated blonde beauty Gwyneth Paltrow (search).
