Pop Tarts: Tara Reid Rejected, Kim Kardashian to Battle Mom on 'Dancing With the Stars'

LOS ANGELES – While the line-up for this year’s "Dancing With the Stars" is yet to be officially released, Pop Tarts has been told that one person who won’t be appearing on the hit show is Tara Reid.

According to our inside source, the perennial party girl has applied for the show multiple times but was rejected each time on the basis that she isn’t "family friendly" enough. Ouch.

Reid’s rep confirmed she will not be appearing and denied that she had ever applied.

Pop Tarts also has been told that the show’s bigwigs were in serious negotiations with Dan Quayle about competing in the upcoming season. Apparently, the former vice president got cold feet at the last minute and decided he wasn’t ready to expose his dance-floor skills.

And speculation has been stirring for quite some time about whether Kim Kardashian will bring her booty into the ballroom — but it looks as though it’s going to be a double whammy this season. A Kardashian camp insider said that Kim will be battling against her mom, Kris Jenner.

The reality stars will reportedly be partnered with father/son pro dancers Mark and Corky Ballas. Awww.

We’re told the "DWTS" folks have always wanted to do a mother/daughter dance-off and last year had Sharon and Kelly Osbourne in the cards, but the network pulled the plug on them because "word got out too much."

Kevin Federline Might Appear Again on 'One Tree Hill'; Spears Won’t Strip

It looks as though Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline may be returning to the small screen to reprise his role of egotistical rocker Jason on "One Tree Hill" sometime very soon.

We ran into the show’s star Chad Michael Murray over the weekend, who let it slip that he’d "heard" that the bigwigs may be bringing Kevin back again.

Earlier this year, Federline appeared in a three-episode arc in the popular CW series as a problematic musician and earned kudos from the cast and crew by working hard and being a nice guy.

Calls to Federline's rep were not returned and a rep for "One Tree Hill" said they "had no idea" about plans to bring him back on the show.

The actor/rapper/father also kept mum about his upcoming endeavors.

"You’ll have to wait and see," he told Pop Tarts last week.

Speaking of upcoming projects, rumors have been running rampant that Spears has been lined up to play a killer lesbian stripper in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming remake of the 1965 cult film "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" However, reps from Britney’s and Quentin’s camps denied to "Access Hollywood" that there was any truth to the tale.

Earlier this year, Audrina Patridge performed as a guest "Pussy Cat Doll" in Sin City, but that still hasn’t made her immune from the wrath of the show’s producer, Stephen Antin.

According to the L.A. Times, Antin (along with several of Lauren Conrad’s neighbors) is extremely upset about the chaos of living close to the MTV hotspot but is planning to cash in on the craziness. Antin is reportedly pitching a reality television show centered on the difficulty of residing next to "The Hills" house.

A rep for LC did not respond for comment, but a close insider recently told Pop Tarts that even she is over her busy home life.

"People drive past 24/7 and honk their horns and scream stuff out," our source said. "So Lauren has been thinking of moving again."

Shia LaBeouf: Trying to Make Him Go to Rehab? Rep Says No, No, No

Even though Shia LaBeouf’s recent Hollywood car crash wasn’t his fault, the 22-year-old actor was over California’s legal alcohol limit and still has to enter the courthouse.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that LaBeouf was planning to enter rehab to make himself look better before the judge, but Tarts has been told by both his rep and a close friend that it's not true.

"Shia is concentrating on healing and getting back to work," said the pal.

But who knows? This blunder isn’t the first brush with the law for the "Indiana Jones" sensation. Last year he was arrested for trespassing at a Chicago Walgreens, and in March a warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to turn up in court. Let’s hope he can make a "Transformation." ...
